Privacy notice
Role by Design respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we store it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who we are
Role by Design is a recruitment and search firm for the Australian not-for-profit sector, founded by Duncan Schieb. You can reach us at duncan@rolebydesign.com.au.
What we collect
- When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, your message, and, if you choose to give them, your organisation and phone number.
- When you join our talent network, we collect the details you send us so we can contact you about roles.
- Our fundraiser sector survey is anonymous. We do not ask for your name. If you choose to give an email address at the end, we use it only for the reason you gave it.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and provide our services.
- To contact you about roles, if you asked us to.
- To understand the fundraising sector through survey research, using anonymous responses.
We only use your details for the reason you gave them. We do not use them for anything else without your consent.
How your details are handled
Our website is hosted by Netlify, and contact form entries are processed and stored through Netlify Forms. Our surveys, if you take them, are run through Typeform. These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside Australia. We keep the personal details we hold only for as long as we need them, then we delete them.
We do not sell your data
We never sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
- You can ask us to delete it, and to stop contacting you, at any time.

This website does not set advertising cookies. If we add website analytics in future, we will update this notice first.
