Charity Health Check
Would a funder back us with confidence?
An independent assessment of a charity's financial health and mission integrity, built for funders who want confidence and for charities who want proof. Three years of financials, your public presence, a compliance snapshot, and what nobody else does: structured conversations with the Chair, CEO and Head of Fundraising.
A mirror and a map, not a verdict.
Rigorous enough for funders to rely on, kind enough that charities volunteer for it. Nothing appears in a report that was not discussed with the charity first. No individual is ever quoted. Interview questions are shared in advance.
For funders
Corporates selecting or reviewing charity partners, and foundations, PAFs and major donors conducting due diligence before significant gifts. You get a rating across five dimensions with a published, readable methodology: no black box. And instead of a bare risk list, you get specific conversation starters for a better partnership.
For charities
Commission a Health Check as a credential. Page one records what your organisation does well, with evidence. Every opportunity comes with a fourteen day, ninety day and twelve month step. A twelve month re-rating makes progress visible to the funders who matter.
Evidence, not opinion.
- A rating across five dimensions: financial health, mission integrity, governance, fundraising sustainability and transparency
- A published methodology in every report, so scores can be understood and challenged
- Strengths first: page one records what the organisation does well, with evidence
- A candour statement: organisations that engage openly are publicly credited for it
- For portfolios: a consistent frame across every charity a foundation supports
Four to six weeks, commissioning to report.
- Financial analysis: three years of audited statements and ACNC data, through a published ratio suite
- Public presence: website, annual report, outcomes reporting and findability
- Interviews: structured, confidential conversations with the Chair, CEO and Head of Fundraising
- Compliance: ACNC standing, state fundraising authorisations, DGR consistency
Independent, disclosed, and fair.
The charity is always informed before work begins. Every finding is put to them before publication. Where we are later engaged by an assessed charity, that engagement is disclosed to the commissioning funder.
